Recycling centres COVID-19 update

Keynsham recycling centre

Keynsham recycling centre is now open but there are restrictions on when you can use the site so please read the Keynsham recycling centre web page for more information.

Bath and Midsomer Norton recycling centres

Bath and Midsomer Norton recycling centres will remain closed as they are both small sites with a cul-de-sac layout and under normal circumstances, suffer from on-site congestion at busy times. Even with reduced numbers of vehicles on site, it is not possible to adhere to the 2m social distancing rule at the moment, whilst also maintaining suitable space for safe vehicle manoeuvring, and trying to keep staff at a safe distance - Keynsham is our only recycling centre which operates a one-way traffic system that allows, with modifications, for a 2m distance to be set up between parked cars and the waste containers.

Old Welton, Wheelers Hill, Midsomer Norton, BA3 2AA

(Off Radstock Road A362.)

This recycling centre is closed on Christmas Day (25 December), Boxing Day (26 December) and New Year's Day (1 January).

WarningTo avoid long queues, please try to use our recycling centres during the week. Weekends and bank holidays are also quieter before 10am.

Items for recycling

For a list of individual items and where to recycle them (including items for recycling centres), please see our recycling A-Z page.

What we do with your items

We collect items which can be reused for charities and sale days. We use the money made from sale days to fund and develop reuse and recycling activities at our recycling centres, to try to reduce the amount of waste going to landfill.
