Funding
This scheme will be funded by the government's Active Travel Fund. This aims to help local authorities to make changes to transport and travel networks in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, and as an investment in public health and more environmentally friendly travel for the future. This money has been allocated to us to use on specific schemes to improve facilities for walking, wheeling and cycling in our area. The Fund is time-limited, and if we don't use our share by April 2022, we will lose it.
