Lyncombe Residents Parking Scheme Consultation

How we'll implement the scheme

This page gives more detail on how we are proposing to run the new Residents' Parking Zone. For further information about how this is likely to affect you, view individual pages for residents, visitors, businesses and regular local road users.

Changes in road markings

In order to prioritise on-street parking for residents, we will mark out parking bays where road space allows. Where parking would be obstructive or unsafe, we'll add double yellow line restrictions.

Bays will either be for permit holders only, or 'dual use': available for unlimited parking by permit holders, or up to 2 hours by non-permit holders (on payment of a parking charge). Motorbike parking will not be affected: motorbikes will be able to park in any permit holder space, whether or not the owner has a permit.

Instructions on how to use our mapping tool
For an interactive map of the project area, use the button below. On the map, you can click on any section of the marked scheme roads to see the type of bay or parking restriction that we are proposing.

Times of operation

While we plan to operate the zone from 8am to 6pm every day, yellow line parking restrictions and marked disabled bays will operate at all times (unless indicated otherwise by on-site signage).

Permit validity

Permits are only valid within the zone for which they were issued. This means that a permit issued for the proposed Lyncombe Zone could not be used in a permit parking bay in neighbouring Zone 18, covering Bear Flat. Signs next to parking bays will state which zone the bay is in.
