Kingsmead Square: Experimental Traffic Regulation Order (ETRO) consultation

Have your say

Why we are consulting

The Kingsmead Square project is one scheme in a broader high street renewal programme which we have designed to promote improved business, tourism and quality of life in towns in our region.  We would like your views on our plans for Kingsmead Square, to help us to create the most flexible, useful and vibrant public space that we can.

We held a number of public consultations on plans for this square in 2018 and 2019. Following on from this research, and the more recent temporary access restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have revised our proposals for this area, and are now asking for your feedback on these new plans.

What we are consulting on

We would like to know if you support or object to our proposal to implement an Experimental Traffic Regulation Order (ETRO) to test how the Kingsmead Square access restriction would work over a 6 month trial period.

The Kingsmead Square access restriction would operate 11am to midnight.
