Service update

Bath Central Library temporary closure update

Bath Central Library is now fully re-open.

However, we are still repairing damage in some areas of the library. We’re sorry for any inconvenience.

Opening times from Monday 19 July

Bath Central Library & Keynsham Library and Information Service will be open from 10am to 5pm, Monday to Thursday, 10am to 4.30pm on Friday & 9.30 - 4.30pm Saturday.

Midsomer Norton Library and Information Service from 10am to 5pm, Monday to Thursday, 10am to 4.30pm on Friday & 9.30-1pm Saturday. 

(Saturdays are Library and General Enquiries only)

Bath One Stop Shop will be open from 10am to 5pm, Monday to Thursday, 10am to 4.30pm on Friday.

One Stop Shop services available from Monday 19 July

  • Help with general enquiries
  • Issue of Welfare Support Voucher
  • Self-service telephones to speak to partners.
  • Self-service payment kiosk 
  • Issue of Diamond Travel Cards, or you can apply online
  • Purchase of garden waste sacks
  • Support with Blue Badges is available in Keynsham, Midsomer Norton, and Bath One Stop Shops by appointment only. Call Council Connect on 01225 39 40 41, or drop into the relevant office, to make an appointment

Bath One Stop Shop

Bath One Stop Shop will provide support to buy a parking permit, but you can also buy a parking permit online

Keynsham and Midsomer Norton One Stop Shops

  • Keynsham and Midsomer Norton One Stop Shops will also run pre-booked Registrar appointments
  • Certification of documents & Scanning documents to Partner organisations.

Library services from Monday 19 July

  • Full browsing in libraries
  • Peoples Network access in Keynsham, Midsomer Norton and Bath Central Libraries. Access is limited to 30 minutes
  • Full timetable running on the mobile library. Download the mobile library route timetable

Disabled toilets

Disabled toilets are available in Keynsham, Bath One Stop Shop, & Midsomer Norton.

  • If you would like to talk to Citizens Advice or Reach then please make an appointment directly with the organisation.
  • Some of our internal partners are operating a limited face to face service. Please get in contact with them directly for more information.

What you can do

Self-service kiosks, computers and telephones are available, to enable you to access library and council services. Council staff can help to get you started if you have trouble using these facilities.
