Get community wellbeing support

With an ageing population and a cost of living crisis, more of us may be feeling isolated, or need a bit more social and practical support. Use this page to find schemes and services to support you and your family's wellbeing and sense of connection with your local community.

Community Wellbeing Hub

The B&NES Community Wellbeing Hub offers a wide range of information and support, to improve your health and wellbeing. This includes:

  • Help with housing, employment and money
  • Advice about cooking, healthy eating and food bank referral
  • Support to adopt a healthier and more active lifestyle
  • Support with mental health and personal confidence

Livewell (directory of local groups, meetings and associations)

Livewell B&NES is a directory of organisations and activities which support wellbeing and community connection. The site has special sections for the following groups: 

Food banks

More people than ever are using food banks all over the UK. They provide vital support when you or your family are in need, but it can be difficult to ask for these services, especially for the first time. Across Bath and North East Somerset, there are multiple organisations that can help, offering both affordable food and emergency food parcels for those that need them.
