Moving traffic enforcement powers consultation

Have your say

What we are consulting on

We intend to adopt moving traffic enforcement powers, currently enforced by the Police. We would like to know if you support or object to our plans to apply these powers at 4 locations in Bath and 1 location in Keynsham.

These powers would allow us to enforce traffic restrictions such as banned turns, yellow box junctions and commercial vehicle weight restrictions at these locations.

This would allow us to effectively monitor and evaluate whether the current road markings, signage and enforcement measures are fair, proportionate and effective.

Who we are consulting

We are inviting local residents and businesses to give us their views on the use of the powers at these locations. However, anyone is welcome to respond to this consultation and share their views.

We will consider feedback in all responses, and we welcome suggestions for other locations where you feel enforcement of existing moving traffic restrictions should be evaluated.

What happens next

We will use feedback from this consultation to help make the final decision on whether to apply to use these powers in the specified locations, and identify other areas that you are concerned about.
