Beckford Road: Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) consultation

Scheme overview

We want to improve safety for cyclists and pedestrians using Beckford Road in Bath. The proposed improvements for this phase will be along the uphill (north) side of the road between its junctions with Bathwick Street and Warminster Road.

We plan to encourage more active and environmentally-friendly travel, and change the character of the road by taking the following steps:

  • Creating a cycle lane which is separated from other road traffic, including buses
  • Moving on-street parking to nearby areas
  • Improving junctions, to make them safer for pedestrians to cross
  • Redesigning a bus stop
