Admission and opening hours

Moorlands Park is open throughout the year. There is no charge for admission.

  • Open green spaces for recreation, picnics, informal sports
  • Spectacular mature trees and woodland areas
  • New plantings of cherry and indigenous trees
  • Spring bulbs and wildflower areas
  • Scrubland areas for foxes, badgers and wildlife
  • Children’s play area for younger children
  • Benches, conventional and informal (tree trunks)
  • Walkways accessing Moorlands School, Englishcombe House, Baskervilles Gym
There are no catering facilities or public toilets

Vehicle access

  • By bus: The Number 8 bus from Bath City Centre to Moorfields Road
  • By car: To Englishcombe Lane or Chantry Mead, with parking outside the park or in the small car park accessed by the eastern entrance off Englishcombe Lane

Pedestrian access

Via entrances off Englishcombe Lane, Chantry Mead and Moorfields Road

Disabled access

  • Disability access via eastern entrance off Englishcombe Lane
