We would like your views on the draft updates to the HMO SPD, to ensure that we consider the views of all users and interested parties.
What are we consulting on?
We are consulting on the Draft Supplementary Planning Document on Houses in Multiple Occupation (HMOs)
We are asking for your views on the following topics:
- Whether you agree with the changes to the way in which planning applications for new or intensified HMOs are assessed
- Whether you agree with the requirements and standards set out within the Draft HMO SPD relating to providing a good standard of accommodation
Who are we consulting?
We are inviting HMO developers, landlords and owners, HMO occupants, other local residents and any other interested parties to give us their views on the document.
How to respond to the consultation
Complete our online questionnaire by 18 October 2021.
What happens next
This consultation will be open until 18 October 2021. After it has closed, we'll publish the results on our website. We'll use your responses to inform the final version of the SPD, which we will adopt and use to assess planning applications for HMOs.
