Chelsea Road and Foxcombe Road area Residents Parking Zone (RPZ)

How we'll implement the scheme

This page gives more detail on how we are proposing to run the new Residents Parking Zone (RPZ). For further information about how this is likely to affect you, view the what this means for you web page.

Changes in road markings

To prioritise on-street parking for residents, we will mark out areas allocated for residents parking where road space allows. Where parking would be obstructive or unsafe, we'll add double yellow line restrictions.

Parking bays will be for any of the following:

  • Permit holders only
  • 'Dual use' (available for unlimited parking by permit holders within operating hours, or for up to two hours by non-permit holders)
  • Limited waiting only
  • Other bay types (including disabled parking bays or loading bays)

Motorbike parking will not be affected. Motorbikes will be able to park in any permit holder space, whether or not the owner has a permit.

You can view the proposed new bays and restrictions by viewing the maps below:

Times of operation

While we plan to operate the proposed RPZ and single yellow lines from 8am to 6pm every day, double yellow lines and marked disabled bays will operate at all times.

Permit validity

Permits are only valid within the zone for which they were issued. This means that a permit issued for the proposed Chelsea Road and Foxcombe Road area zone could not be used in a permit parking bay in any other RPZ. Signs next to parking bays will state which zone the bay is in.
