The Abbey View Room, Guildhall

Located in south end of the magnificent Guildhall, the Abbey View Room has a unique and charming view of the elegant Bath Abbey. With seating for up to 23 guests, we can work with you to create a bespoke ceremony that will reflect who you are as a couple.

Take a virtual tour of the Abbey View Room at the Guildhall.

Additional information

If you would like to personalise your ceremony, you can include readings, poems or pieces of music as part of two interludes during your ceremony. We can play joyous, classical music, or you can play your own music via Bluetooth or CD.

Photographs and videos

If you're using an official photographer, they're welcome to take photos throughout the ceremony. You will also be asked if you're happy for your guests to take photos on their phones and share to social media. If you would like one of your guests to make a recording of your ceremony, please let your Registrar know.

Once your ceremony has finished there is the opportunity to have a photo of just the two of you on the marble staircase as your guests leave the building. You may have further photos on the steps of the Guildhall as you exit through the south door.

Confetti

Biodegradable confetti can be thrown as you exit the Guildhall onto the high street. No confetti can be thrown whilst inside the Guildhall building. Confetti cannons are not permitted anywhere in Bath and North East Somerset.
