The Abbey View Room, Guildhall

Located in south end of the magnificent Guildhall, the Abbey View Room has a unique and charming view of the elegant Bath Abbey.

We can offer a more personalised service in this room - perfect for a smaller ceremony.

Take a virtual tour of the Abbey View Room at the Guildhall.

Additional information

If you would like to, you can include a reading, poem or piece of music as part of two interludes during your ceremony. We will also play joyous, classical music, but you can select your own musical choices.

Photographs and videos

If you're using an official photographer, they're welcome to take photos throughout the ceremony. You will also be asked if you're happy for your guests to take photos on their phones and share to social media. If you would like one of your guests to make a recording of your ceremony, please let the Registrar know.

Once your ceremony has finished you may have further photos on the steps of the Guildhall as you exit through the south door.

Alternatively, the Alkmaar Garden provides an ideal backdrop for group photographs and is adjacent to the Guildhall on the left as you leave the building. Parade Gardens (open during the summer months) also makes another picturesque backdrop. For groups over 30, please email our parks team at: parks@bathnes.gov.uk

Confetti

Unfortunately, no confetti can be thrown whilst inside the Guildhall building, but biodegradable confetti can be thrown as you exit the building onto the high street. Confetti cannons are not permitted anywhere.
