Low Carbon Affordable Warmth - information session

We are running this session on Low Carbon Affordable Warmth for organisations that support residents on issues relating to energy in the home. This includes the third sector, Parish Councillors, residents associations and community groups who signpost information to residents.

Most of us will be experiencing soaring electricity and gas bills at home due to the cost of living crisis. Our panellists will explain the support available now and what is coming up this summer, to help you signpost residents towards this.

The session will cover:

  • Fuel poverty, managing energy bills and the support available to those on lower incomes.
  • Inviting Fuel Poverty advisors to local events, such as coffee mornings or village days.
  • A preview of the new grant schemes/financial support for those on low incomes living in the most energy-inefficient homes - available this summer.
  • Where to find further guidance and information about improving energy efficiency in the home, from simple, low-cost changes to DIY or more extensive building works.

The session will be recorded and made available on our YouTube Channel.

If you want to find out more about the support that is currently available, we recently updated the list of Welfare Support available to residents facing financial pressure due to rising household costs.

The session will be chaired by Cllr Tom Davies.
