Grow and Make

Grow and Make is our Gardening for Wellbeing course. This date is just one of many that you are welcome to take part in. It is held in a relaxed and supportive environment and is underpinned by the Five Ways to Wellbeing: Give, Take Notice, Connect, Be Active and Keep Learning.

During this day you’ll learn more about what you can do in the garden. For instance, together, we might develop and maintain our vegetable patch and forest garden through practical activities supported by a theory session, and we will harvest veg and fruit from the farm and forage in our hedgerows. We will also make herbal balms and syrups on an outdoor fire, and explore nature through mindful walks.

The Community Farm is a not-for-profit social enterprise based in the Chew Valley. We are a nature-friendly, organic farm, working with a network of producers who share our ethics, to supply fresh, local and organic food to hundreds of households in the local area.

Any surplus that we make is reinvested into our Community programmes to fund volunteering sessions, wellbeing courses and events at The Farm; as well as helping us manage the land in a way that benefits all life.
