Our field volunteers help out with a huge variety of tasks which change through the seasons and encompass all aspects of tending our crops. From preparing the ground, to planting, weeding, maintaining, and harvesting (plus a bit of very important taste-testing too!). Farming is about so much more than feeding people, caring for our wildlife and our environmental impact is really important to our work. Don't worry - you don't need to have any experience; you will learn alongside us when you get involved!
The Community Farm is a not-for-profit social enterprise based in the Chew Valley. We are a nature-friendly, organic farm, working with a network of producers who share our ethics, to supply fresh, local and organic food to hundreds of households in the local area. Any surplus that we make is reinvested into our Community programmes to fund volunteering sessions, wellbeing courses and events at The Farm; as well as helping us manage the land in a way that benefits all life.
