A420 Bristol to Bath Improvements

Published: 2020-09-18 Updated: 2020-09-18 Subject: Parking and Travel

Bath and North East Somerset Council (B&NES) are undertaking a WECA (West of England Combined Authority) funded feasibility study in partnership with South Gloucestershire Council.

This study is to assess options for access improvements from the A420 to Lansdown Park and Ride, and assess two potential routes, Freezinghill Lane and Bath Road, which would include the A420/ Gorse Lane junction. This should enable outline designs, modelling, safety assessments and consultation of the preferred option to be undertaken, leading to a decision on the development of a full business case.

It is expected that the feasibility work will be completed during Autumn 2020. Further updates will be added as and when they are available.
