The Irish Youth Foundation (UK) Limited

Revenue grants of up to £10,000 are available to UK registered charities and community organisations for projects that work to improve the lives of disadvantaged young people and children aged between 0 - 30 years in England, Scotland and Wales and 0-25 years in Northern Ireland, with a particular emphasis on those of Irish heritage.  A wide range of projects are funded, which should address one or more of the following areas:

  • Advice/advocacy.
  • Cross-community initiatives.
  • Disability.
  • Drug rehabilitation.
  • Educational, cultural and social activities.
  • Family support.
  • Homelessness.
  • Training/counselling.
  • Travellers, and/or
  • Youth work.

One-off revenue grants lasting a maximum of 12 months are available as follows:

  • Small grants for up to £2,500, and
  • Standard grants for over £2,500 and under £10,000.

The average grant award tends to be for around £5,000.
