This is a new service – your feedback will help us to improve it.

You can only submit a report about a high hedge if ALL of the following are true.

  • The hedge is over 2m tall.
  • It is planted on someone else's property.
  • Part or all of the property affected by the hedge is residential (someone lives there).
  • You are the owner or occupier of the affected property.
  • The part of the hedge causing problems is made up of two or more evergreen or semi-evergreen trees or shrubs.
  • You have made efforts to resolve the problem with the owner of the hedge. We will ask you to supply evidence of this.
WarningThe fee for investigating a high hedge report is £400, which is payable whatever decision we ultimately make. Once you have submitted your report, we will be in touch within 5 working days to arrange payment.
