The purpose of processing

To support the provision of education, training and employment for young people living or educated within Banes. To support the tracking of young people to support their future education, training, and employment. To monitor the provision of open access youth sessions in Youth hubs, Mobile and Detached work. To support young people needing targeted youth support and employment support (NEETS).

Article 6.1 e - Exercise of official authority
The 2008 Education and Skills Act (ESA 2008). Section 68 requires local authorities in England to: make available to young persons and relevant young adults for whom it is responsible such services as it considers appropriate to encourage.

Sharing of personal data with external recipients

We will share your information with other local authorities and with the department of education for national reporting on unemployment figures for young people. We may also share your information with other organisations that we feel could help to support you with your consent. If there is an overriding statutory duty we may share information without your consent e.g safeguarding . Where ever possible we will let you know we are doing this.

How long is the personal data retained by the Council?

Personal data will only be retained for as long as it is needed for the purpose specified above, or as required by applicable law or regulatory requirements. We generally keep your information until your 20th birthday.
