How is it used?

You are giving us your personal information to allow us to investigate your allegation. We my also use your information to verify your identity, contact you by post, email or telephone and to maintain our records in line with the Council’s Whistle Blowing Policy where this is required.

In order to fulfil our obligations of making a thorough investigation into an allegation, we may be required to pass your details to a third party for further investigation. This may be within the council or externally such as the DWP or HMRC or the Police.

How long is the personal data retained by the Council?

Personal data will only be retained for as long as it is needed for the purpose specified above, or as required by applicable law or regulatory requirements.
