Use of photography, film and audio by Communications and Marketing for marketing and publicity.

The purpose of processing

To allow Communications and Marketing to process and use photography, film and audio recordings for the purposes of marketing and promotion of its services, in printed and digital media.

How is it used?

Only images, video footage and audio recordings will be used in printed publicity and promotional materials, images and film on Bath & North East Somerset Council websites, social media channels and in e-newsletters. Name and contact details will not be used in this way and will only be processed for administrative purposes.

Sharing of personal data with external recipients

Images & video footage may be shared with selected third parties for use on websites, on web listings, and in print materials for the promotion of services and with news media, including TV and radio.

How long is the personal data retained by the Council?

We will retain any media gathered for the purposes described in this privacy notice for 3 years.
If any media has been placed in the public domain, it will no longer be within our control and will therefore potentially remain in perpetuity.
Withdrawal of consent will not affect any material in the public domain and will only apply to that which is held by the data controller.
