Test and Trace Support Payment Privacy Notice

The purpose of processing

The information that you provide will be used to make an assessment of eligibility for a self-isolation payment and where successful the information will be used for the provision and administration of that payment.

You, as the applicant, are the data subject for this processing activity.

We will only collect information necessary for the purposes described above and to verify your identity, address, and entitlement to this payment.

Address
Proof of address
Employment status
Entitlement to Social Security benefits and Tax credits
Your level of income
Bank details

How is it used?

We will record your information using the webform or where necessary by phone. That information will be handled by the Assessment Team who will verify your identity and carry out a check using databases provided by the NHS and the Department for Work and Pensions to ensure that you are eligible for the payment. Once we have confirmed the above we will transfer the payment to you.

Sharing of personal data with external recipients

We will be required to share some limited data such as your Contact Tracing Advisory Service (CTAS) number with NHS Test and Trace service to ensure eligibility.

How long is the personal data retained by the Council?

We will retain your data for 7 years after your application.
