Privacy Notice for New Way service

The purpose of processing

The information below will help you to understand what we will do with the personal information that you provide as part of the New Way service.

The New Way service enables families to improve the circumstances of children and young people, and to meet the needs of the family.

The purpose of using your personal data is to help us provide the New Way service, helping families work together to address domestic abuse. We will also use this data to contact individuals to help us improve this service.

Data subjects

Data subjects are any individuals using the New Way service (children or young people and their families)

Personal data

We will collect:
First name
Address
Contact phone number
Date of birth
Ethnicity
Relevant case information, such as the reason for social worker referral
Case status, which may include other aspects of personal or special category data that you provide

How is it used?

Your personal data is used to:
Discuss what needs to be done to assist your family and any children and young people involved
Create a plan to deliver that assistance

Profiling and automated decision making

We will not use any form of automated decision making to deliver this service to you.

Sharing of personal data with external recipients

We will not share your information with anyone outside B&NES Children’s Services.

How long is the personal data retained by the Council?

Names are deleted after a period of one year; data is saved anonymously for the production of statistics only.
