Penalty Charge Notices Privacy Notice

The purpose of processing

We process personal data in order to issue Bus Lane and Parking Penalty Charge Notices (PCN) under the Traffic Management Act 2004 and Transportation Act 2000. These will be issued where vehicles are in contravention of restrictions prescribed within Traffic Regulation Orders.

Drivers in receipt of a PCN
Registered owners of vehicles in receipt of a PCN
Keepers of vehicles in receipt of a PCN

Photographs and descriptions of vehicle parking contravention
Name
Home address
Address of the vehicles registered keeper
Contact email address
Contact telephone number
Documents provided as evidence of mitigating circumstances

How is it used?

We will use your data in order to serve Penalty Charge Notices and enforce parking terms and conditions.

Profiling and automated decision making

Not applicable.

Sharing of personal data with external recipients

We may share your personal data with Northampton County Court, and contracted enforcement agents and Vehicle Removal Contractors, in order to recover unpaid Penalty Charges.

How long is the personal data retained by the Council?

We will keep your data for one full year after the completion of the year in which your Penalty Charge Notice is closed.
