Fare car scheme Privacy Notice

The purpose of processing

The reason for collecting the data is for the Public Transport team to administer the Fare Car scheme.

Data subjects

B&NES residents who have chosen to register with the Fare Car scheme in order to gain a low cost and reliable service into Bath and return to their home.

Contact telephone number
Contact email address

How is it used?

The information is passed on to the taxi company (V cars) so they know who they are picking up and their address, they will not use this information for any other purpose.

Sharing of personal data with external recipients

The information is passed to V Cars so they have the passenger’s details in order to pick them up and drop them back home again, we do not share your information with any other third party.

How long is the personal data retained by the Council?

The information is kept for as long as the resident wishes to participate in the scheme. If they decide they no longer wish to be part of the scheme, they are asked to call Public Transport who will remove their details.
