Digital user research privacy notice

The purpose of processing

We will process your data so that we can contact you about getting involved in user research activities. Your experience of using our services will help us to refine or design better services.

Members of the public who volunteer to help us undertake user research activities

Personal data

Name
Email address
Video & audio of testing activities
Details of disabilities or special needs if they affect how users interact with the services we provide

How is it used?

Details such as name and email address will only be used to help us contact potential test subjects. Video, audio and notes made at testing sessions will not have personal information attributed to them except for a first name.

The data received will be used to collate a pool of volunteers whom we will contact periodically when we need to:
Learn about customer’s experiences of using our existing services
Learn about how users interact with prototype and new digital services
Learn from users how they might find or categorise the services we provide

We will not share personal data with any internal or external teams or organisations

How long is the personal data retained by the Council?

We will retain your data for no longer than 2 years after a user has undertaken a user testing session.
