The purpose of processing

The information below will help you to understand what we will do with the personal information that you have provided as part of the consultation process.

The purpose of processing your personal data is so that you can stay informed, volunteer, or take part in events and activities organised by Somer Valley Rediscovered. Somer Valley Rediscovered is a Green Infrastructure Project, led by Bath & North East Somerset (B&NES) Council, Wessex Water, Natural England and the University of Bath, funded by The West of England Combined Authority. The project has dual aims of improving biodiversity whilst better connecting communities to their local greenspaces and landscapes.

Data subjects

Members of the public who participate in the consultation on improvements at Staddlestones Park as part of the Somer Valley Rediscovered Project.

We may ask you for details that include:
Full name
Age
Postcode
Email address

How is it used?

We will use your personal data to:

Keep you updated on project news and consultation outcomes via our newsletter
Assess the users of the park as part of the improvement plans
Evaluate the success of the improvements

Information that contributes to any reports or evaluations will be anonymised to protect the confidentiality of individuals at all times. This means that no personal information that could be used to identify you (i.e. name, age, postcode) will be included.

Personal Data will not be shared with any other organisation without permission.

How long is the personal data retained by the Council?

We will retain your data for a period of 3.5 years (the duration of the Somer Valley Rediscovered Project)
