The purpose of processing

We process this data in order to comply with copyright legislation (Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988).

Members of the public requesting copies of pages from published books and archival documents, and parts of maps and plans (archive and published) still in copyright, under the fair dealing clauses of copyright legislation (Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988)

The data is kept under secure conditions for 7 years or until 2039, whichever is the sooner, and then destroyed securely.
