Capital projects are rebuilding or renovation schemes to improve the provision and condition of school buildings and facilities. They are funded by the Department for Education, via a variety of grant schemes. The projects may be organised by local authorities, academy trusts, or individual schools.
Involving the local community is an important part of our planning for capital projects. We may use public events or online surveys to do this. Any opinions or comments that you make during this type of consultation may form part of a planning application for the building project.
