You can request a business waste or recycling collection from us, or you can take it to our waste transfer station yourself. Find out how much these cost and what your responsibility is when dealing with business waste and recycling.
A duty of care applies to everyone involved in business waste and recycling; from producing to sorting, storing and transporting it. Your responsibilities are set out on GOV.UK
What is business waste?
Any rubbish or recycling produced from your business is business waste, or recycling. This includes running a business from your home (including B&Bs and childminder businesses). And you must pay to get rid of your business waste or recycling.
Avoid a fine
Place waste and recycling bins, sacks and cardboard out on the street for collection on the agreed collection day and time. If for any reason your waste or recycling isn't collected within these timescales, please bring it back in from the pavement or highway. We can fine you £100 for leaving your business waste or recycling out, even if we're not collecting it.
