Armed Forces Covenant

The Armed Forces Covenant is a promise by the nation ensuring that those who serve or have served in the Armed Forces, and their families, are treated fairly.

Use this page to find out about local and national support for members of the armed forces community and the Armed Forces Covenant in Bath and North East Somerset.

Local support for members of the armed forces community

Find local support at the Community Wellbeing Hub where you can access advice about debt, money, housing and benefits and supporting your wellbeing and mental health.

Our B&NES customer services team can help you discover and access local services.

If you are part of the armed forces community and feel that you were not treated fairly when accessing any public service, please let us know.

National Veterans support services

The national 'Veterans Gateway' can help those who are serving, or have served in the armed forces - and their families and dependents - to find support.

Help for the armed forces community is available from Royal British Legion and SSAFA.

You can get in touch with your local armed forces community in the South West at Forces Connect South West.

The Armed Forces Covenant for communities

All local authorities in mainland Great Britain have signed their own Armed Forces Covenants (sometimes known as Community Covenants). These complement the Armed Forces Covenant at a local level.
