Renew a licence to place skips, scaffolds, hoarding and materials on the highway

You need a licence from the council to place or store anything on a carriageway or pavement.

Householders should ensure their supplier or contractor has the appropriate licence, insurance and accreditation but may not apply for a licence themselves.

If you are a supplier or contractor supplying a skip, scaffolding or hoarding, you are responsible for obtaining the relevant licence.

This form allows you to renew an existing licence for the following items:

• Hoarding
• Building materials
